BETT AND THE EDUCATION SHOW WILL COMBINE TO THE LARGEST EDTECH CONFERENCE OF THE WORLD

On November 4, Bett and The Education Show, two of the world’s leading conferences on education and edtech, announced that they will merge into one in January 2020. According to the announcement, the Education Display “will take place inside Bett” and will take place in the new year between January 22 and 25. The joint event will take place at ExCel London over a four-day period.
“The Bett Show and The Education Show are presented together at the ExCeL Center in London in 2019. For us, making the experience even simpler and more enjoyable for guests and putting together both shows is a natural next step,” said Eve Harper, Bett Event Manager, in a statement. “Visitors can sign once, check in once and find in one easy to navigate space everything they need. We believe that The Education Show@ Bett 2020 will help UK educators and international visitors gain more from the experience than ever before, helping decision-makers see everything they need to equip their schools and institutions, achieving the best results for teachers, students and senior educators”.
Last year, Bett and Education Show took place side by side and saw a boost in attendance
Originally launched in January 1985, Bett, also named the British Educational Training and Technology Series. Since then, it has become the leading edtech conference in the UK and consistently draws practitioners and investors from across the edtech industry.
Furthermore, the Education Show is a few years older and more focused on teachers and administrators. The British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) is coordinating both of them.
The two conferences were held side by side last year, and school leaders ‘ attendance at The Education Show jumped 27 percent over the previous year.
This year, as well as 800 edtech developers and 103 startups, organizers expect attendance to exceed 34,000 individuals. Over the years, the event was attended by individuals from 145 different countries. This seeks to provide insights into six academic themes: empowerment in teaching and learning, diversity, well-being, social mobility, skills, and future innovation and trends.
What to expect at the world’s largest conference in Edtech
“We look forward to seeing The Education Show for the first time at the Bett show here at BESA,” said Caroline Wright, General Manager of BESA. “This year’s Education Show program also discusses today’s educators ‘ needs and helps visitors to learn what’s hot on the marketplace. It should give delegates the opportunity to maximize their Bett experience in one place and we look forward to welcoming educators from across the UK and beyond for a few days of networking, sharing best practices, and discovering the latest educational resources”.
As in previous years, Bett 2020 will include a comprehensive seminar and speaker schedule, a massive vendor showcase floor organized into six different zones, and an enormous opportunity to connect with the edtech industry and stakeholders in education. Also during the conference, the Bett Awards will be announced.
Bett was the world’s largest edtech conference before the announcement. Only the inclusion of The Education Show cemented that reality.
